The water cinema is just like “the shadow play” a cinema of the moment. A cup of water is slightly moved by electric motors, resulting in a constant alteration of its surface.
Light from a special spotlight is directed at the water surface and reflected to a projection screen. A spatial looking image of moving water is created, in which forms become apparent, which are not viewable in the water itself. These optical amenities are caught by a camera and transformed into sounds. The cinema creates its own “Music”.
