As a ball falls to earth it is met by a stream of water travelling at the same speed in the opposite direction. Frustrated by the other’s desire equality between the two elements is only achieved through continual motion. The effect of this phenomenon is fascinating with the water spurting off the ball in a catherine-wheel effect. This is enhanced by the white light which travels up the length of the jet and is dispersed into thousands of whirling sparks by the furious speed of the ball. |
